The Experience

Get a taste of central and North Vietnam with this nine-night tour package. The adventure starts in Hanoi, buzzing with flavours, colours and markets, and continues through the sparkling waters of Halong Bay and picture-like scenery of Da Nang before reaching Hoi An. Holidaymakers will have a chance to discover ancient temples, get close up with local life and sample Vietnamese cuisine. The English-speaking guide will provide more insight into the local history and customs.

Itinerary

Day 1:

Pick-up at the airport and transfers to the hotel in Hanoi
Leisure time to explore the city

Day 2:

Transfer from the hotel to Halong Bay
Embark on the cruise and take part in cruise briefing
Indulge in lunch while cruising by the limestone islands; explore Sung Sot Cave, one of the region’s most famous gems, and head to Titov Island to lounge on the beach, swim or climb uphill to take in the Bay views
Head back to the main boat to continue the cruise; enjoy sunset party when the sun goes down, have dinner and mingle with other passengers while playing board games, fishing for squid or just relaxing

Day 3:

Start the day early with a Tai Chi session or a photo hunt before breakfast
Kayak around the Drum Cave, return to the main boat and continue the journey, cruising by Ba Hang village, Dog Islet and other picturesque parts of the Bay
Watch fruit carving demonstration, learn more about the local flavours during a cooking class, and enjoy some lunch before disembarking and returning to Hanoi

Day 4.

Head out to see Tran Quoc Pagoda and Buddhist relics on the West Lake, visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and One-Pillar Pagoda Visit the Temple of Literature which dates back to 1070 and is dedicated to Confucius, sages and scholars and take a break from sightseeing during lunch in the Hanoi Old Quarter
See traditional ceramics in the pottery showrooms of the Bat Trang village Proceed to Hoan Kiem Lake to see Ngoc Son Temple.

Day 5:

Check-out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for flight to Da Nang

Head out to the Marble Mountains boasting mysterious caves, Buddhist pagodas and a traditional marble carving village
Proceed to the Monkey Mountain to learn more about its history and take photos

Take a transfer to a rice paddy farm to get more insight into the local life and ride on a buffalo
