What is platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy?
This treatment lasts around 30 minutes where platelets rich plasma will be injected into selected area to improve the skin and to give it a fresh look, to lessen the visibility of wrinkles and dark skin around the eyes. If injected into the scalp, then that will stimulate hair follicles to generate new hair and to fight damage and loss of the existing hair.
What happens at the sessions?
A small amount of blood will be collected and placed in a centrifuge machine which separates natural body plasma (Protein) with Platelets from the red blood cells, this plasma rich of Platelets (plus Biotin if for scalp) will be injected into the selected area by very fine with almost no pain needle
What about aftercare?
Clients may experience mild swelling of the target area following the treatment. Avoiding vigorous activity is recommended until the swelling is gone, with pain manageable through the use of non-narcotic analgesic medication. Hair can usually be washed as normal immediately after the treatment.
