The Experience
During this 12- or 14-day trek, travellers see and experience the magnificence of the Himalayas and have a chance to explore the Annapurna region. Participants can absorb the mountain scenery, admire the ranges and summits, and traverse dense rhododendron forests as well as some uphill trails. A traditional way of Nepalese life may be discovered while getting past the local villages inhabited by the Gurungs and Magars. The important point of the tour is a climb up the Poon Hill, from which a panoramic view of other Himalayan peaks may be admired.
12-Day Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, transfer to the hotel, orientation program, and a welcome dinner; overnight stay at Hotel Holy Himalaya
- Day 2: Morning yoga class, breakfast, and sightseeing tour of Kathmandu; overnight stay at the hotel
- Day 3: Rafting experience starting in Charaudi; overnight stay at Manakamana Valley Resort
- Day 4: Hike to Manakamana Temple or heading to see the view of Mt. Manaslu by a cable car; drive to Pokhara; overnight at Hotel Splendid View
- Day 5: Drive to Nayapul one hours by private transportation and trek to Tikhedhunga; overnight stay at a guest house
- Day 6: Trek to Ghorepani, 5-6-hour walk through the jungle path; overnight stay at a guest house
- Day 7: Morning hike to Poon Hill to see the sunrise and the views over the 10 different peaks; trek back to a guest house; after breakfast trek to Tadapani; overnight stay at a guest house
- Day 8: Trek to Ghandruk, an old Gurung Village; overnight stay at a guest house
- Day 9: Trek down to Nayapul (4-5 hour walk) and drive back to Pokhara; overnight stay at Hotel Splendid View
- Day 10: After breakfast sightseeing tour of Pokhara or boating in Phewalake and hiking in Peace Pagoda; overnight stay at Hotel Splendid View
- Day 11: After breakfast drive (an option for a flight available) back to Kathmandu; overnight stay at Hotel Holy Himalaya
- Day 12: After breakfast transfer to the airport for departure
